Top Ten Bookish Goals of 2013

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
1. Make time for rereads
There are so many books to read that it's hard to find time to go back to old favorites. However, I don't own a bunch of books so they can be decorations on my shelf. If I want to reread books, I'm going to make time for it.
2. Read more classics (and do some Book Thoughts)
I want to read more Jane Austen, F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Shakespeare, Ray Bradbury... the list stretches ever onward.
3. Fix up old reviews.
My first reviews are, to put it nicely, pathetic. I'd like to spruce them up before I post them on Goodreads.
4. Do Bookish Buys posts ahead of time.
I always end up doing these so last minute. I'd like to have them scheduled. It would just be less stress.
5. Get to the sequels I've put off.
Most notably the sequel to All These Things I've Done and Insurgent.
6. Work on my blog design.
This is bookish, right?
7. Finish book recommendation lists for my friends.
I made a bunch for people last year and a few more want some now. I will get to them soon, guys! Promise!
8. Make bookmarks for my book club.
I found this tutorial for pompom bookmarks made out of yarn that are fun and easy!
9. Write another song based on a book.
I really like writing songs and it was so fun to write the one based off of Mara Dyer. It'll be fun to try it again with a different book!
10. Comment more on other book blogs.
While I always make sure to comment on a few blogs a week, I'd really like to comment a lot more!
What are your bookish goals?
INSURGENT! You should read it soon, because it's awesome. Your goals are very interesting btw! I think it's amazing that books inspire you to write songs and that you make bookmarks yourself :) And fixing up my old reviews is DEFINITELY something I want to do, since I roll my eyes everytime I re-read my first reviews haha. Hope you can achieve all of your goals this year :)
ReplyDeleteAw thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only one when it comes to first reviews! haha Best of luck with your goals, too! (:
DeleteI definitely want to read some classics this year, I've been meaning to do so for the past few years but 2013 is going to be the year I finally do it! I'm planning on re-reading more this year too, particularly the books I read before I started blogging and I owe a decent review to. Good luck with your goals!

What I'm Waiting for This Wednesday
The pom pom bookmarks are so fun to make! I gave them to a few people as holiday presents. (:
DeleteAmazing and very unique resolution. I quite like the design of your blog, you do your own designs?
ReplyDeleteMy Bookish Goals.
Thank you! The background I have now is from The Cutest Blog on the Block. My goal is to be able to do my own design. I've learned basic html, and I've checked out a few books from the library. It's a process, but hopefully I'll get to the skill level I want to be at soon! (:
